A Message from Mr. Hoog
Hello BSE Families!
I would like to say thank you to all of our families who attended and supported our pancake breakfast last Saturday. We had an amazing turnout and it was great to see so many of you there! I appreciate the great efforts of our PTO for hosting the event and continuing to support our students and teachers in such meaningful ways!
This year, the ILEARN assessment is replacing the ISTEP+ assessment for all 3rd through 8th grade students in Indiana. With the new assessment there are significant changes, including only one testing window. The window for testing will be April 22-May 17. Soon after spring break we will be sharing specific testing dates for our 3rd and 4th graders at BSE. I have included a link below to a document in which you can gain more information about the ILEARN assessment. I am very confident our students will be ready!

Thanks for all you do!
Mr. Hoog

Panorama Surveys to Gather Stakeholder Feedback
HSE Schools is excited to announce a new partnership with Panorama Education. This partnership allows our schools to collect valuable feedback from three critical stakeholder groups: students, parents, and teachers. Over the next three weeks, we will be conducting surveys to learn more about the perceptions and needs of our school community. All K-12 students will participate in the Panorama Social-Emotional Learning Survey at school during the March 18 – 29 survey window. Family survey links have already been sent directly from Panorama Education to the Guardian 1 email address on file in Skyward. You should have received this link on March 18.
Learn more about social emotional learning and HSE Schools Comprehensive Student Success efforts by visiting hseschools.org and clicking on school counseling. If you have questions about the student survey or to opt out, please contact your building principal or Dr. Susan Drumm, HSE's Chief Analytics Officer (sdrumm@hse.k12.in.us). If you didn’t receive your unique family survey link via email on March 18, please contact either support+hseschools@panoramaed.com or sdrumm@hse.k12.in.us.
HSE Schools are grateful to our grant partners for providing funding for this survey opportunity. Thank you in advance for your feedback and for all you do to help all 22,000 HSE Students become #HSEFutureReady.
