The Oxford Update
Oxford Elementary School
Celebrating a Nation of Diverse Readers
Each day this week will be a themed day that will encourage our students to read lots of books. We hope that they will choose books that reflect their lives, their families, and their interests. We will also be encouraging them to read books that allow them a window into lives, families, and interests that are different from their own.
We encourage you to take time as a family this week to enjoy some books together. Read some cherished favorites that you have shared for years or check out some new stories that will transport you on new adventures with characters you have yet to meet. This is one of our favorite weeks at OES and we hope you have as much fun with it as we do!
Happy reading,
Miss Karnes
