Greetings,
Spring is a great time for student learning. The learning advocates are planning some experiences for students that are STEM related, and others that involve the use of potting soil and seeds. Fun times with a lot of learning are in the future.
SLP Schools Online K-6 for 2022-2023
We intend to continue to offer SLP Schools Online for K-6, but the experience will be quite different than this year. Our intent is to move closer to our long-term vision for the online experience. Please be aware of some key actions and timelines.
- April – Finalizing design for 2022-2023: We will engage in a design process anchored in our long-term vision for the online school during the month of April. If you are interested in providing input or being a part of this design process, please let me know.
- May – Sharing the design for 2022-2023: By mid-May, we will be ready to share the design for next year with special consideration to what will look and feel different from this year’s experience. Watch for details on information sessions.
- June – Enrolling for 2022-2023: At the end of the school year, our current K-6 students will be automatically enrolled in their physical school building. There will be no automatic enrollment for SLP Schools Online. In June, families may choose to enroll in SLP Schools online for the new school year after they have had an opportunity to understand the design for the new year.
There will be more information to come. In the meantime, please let me know if you are interested in being part of the design process.
