Avoiding Holiday Stress for our students
Some ways that we try to keep students focussed include:
- Maintaining our routines and daily expectations
- Incorporating some holiday and winter themes into lessons and tasks
- Scheduling some assemblies for our students
- Increasing the use of movement breaks and outdoor recess
Attached is a link to a great article with some suggestions for parents

Some of the ideas mentioned in the article are also helpful for us at school too:
- Try to stay relaxed to keep children relaxed
- Maintain bedtimes to help children get needed extra rest
- Keep healthy snacks with you on the run and maintain meal times
- Keep kids moving and get them outside
