Important Reminders
- Homework this week: Spelling and reading assignments are both due on Thursday. *Please note it is Thursday since there is no school on Friday.* There is no math homework since students are taking an end-of-unit math test on Thursday. A study guide for the math test will come home on Monday.
- If your child would like to practice their third grade math skills, I can send home a math packet for review. Please message me. This may help them prepare for the AIR test in April.

- Thank you to our room parents, volunteers, and those who donated for the party. The students had a great time!

What we are learning in Room 12...
This is the area of the weekly newsletter where parents/guardians can be informed of what is planned for our week. If your child is going to be absent, please let me know in advance if possible, so I can send make-up work with them.
- Math - We have been learning about area and area models. There will be an end of unit test on Thursday. Your child can practice multiplication at home, as this will help them find the area of certain area models.
- Reading - Every Tuesday from now until the AIR test in April will become "Test-Prep Tuesday" and we'll learn how to read passages and answer questions on the test. Students are also reading online books in class using the Epic Books website. We are starting to learn about text structures this week.
- Writing/Spelling - Spelling words will come home on Monday, and the test is Thursday (not Friday). This week's spelling pattern is plural words -- putting "s" or "es" onto words when they're plural. For writing class, students are finishing their informational books.
- Social Studies - We are starting a new short unit about Tallmadge History.
