The Dangers of Smog

Is it Safe to Breath in Smoggy Air?
One may not even think twice about rather it's safe or not to breath in smoggy air, but truth is, it's not safe. Breathing in smoggy air is very dangerous and can cause a number of respiratory problems.
Different Respiratory Problems Associated With Smog
- An irritation to your respiratory system. This means that you may begin coughing, your throat may begin to itch and burn, and you chest may begin to have a "hard to breath" feeling.
- Can affect lung function. This means that you may breath a lot heavier and a lot worse than you usually do. Breathing in smoggy air may make it harder for you to take in air.
- Asthma. If you are asthmatic, it is worse on you because you are already affected by your respiratory system and your lung function. So, breathing in smoggy air is just going to cause you to have more asthma attacks that would require a doctors attention.
Other effects include:
- Emphysema.
- Bronchitis.
