Tuesday Takeaways

Gatesville Intermediate

Week of October 4, 2021

Happy October folks! We are looking forward to learning and sharing information this month with our character theme of Safety. This week we will focus specifically on fire safety. Below are 10 fire safety tips. Use these tips as talking points at home:

  1. STOP, DROP and ROLL
  2. Don't play with matches.
  3. Call 911 in case of a fire in your house.
  4. Have a carbon dioxide detector in your home.
  5. Have smoke detectors in each bedroom.
  6. Have a meeting place outside.
  7. Have an escape plan if your house is on fire.
  8. Practice your escape plan.
  9. Never hide from a firefighter
  10. Stay away from a hot stove/oven in the kitchen.

👕👕Wear your school shirts on Mondays👕👕

(unless otherwise noted for a specific event, i.e. field trips)

🚨🚨We are aware of several variations of the continued social media challenges circulating within the public. We encourage families to discuss the severity of these actions, and discourage such behavior, or involvement. The school will continue to pursue maximum disciplinary consequences through the Code of Conduct and law enforcement to protect our buildings, students, and staff. Please contact campus principals, if you have concerns or questions on this matter.🚨🚨

Be sure to check out our school website and Facebook page (links can be accessed at the bottom of this page). Events, pictures, and news are updated regularly. Our weekly newsletter 'Tuesday Takeaways' will also be sent out via REMIND and our other social media platforms to keep you up to date.
