MARCH 2021
Hello Horizon Families,
Welcome to March! If you have a soon-to-be kindergartner at Horizon, be sure to enroll your child as soon as possible. If you know of a neighbor or a friend who lives in the Horizon neighborhood, be sure to give them a reminder to register as well. This helps us to accurately prepare for staffing in the 21-22 school year.
As a reminder from district communication sent on Feb. 26, there are two dates in March that we will no longer have in-person learning due to employees getting vaccinated for Covid-19.
Friday, March 5: We will not have in person learning on Friday, March 5. We will have asynchronous lessons for students on this day. We will still have our pick up and drop off of materials on March 5 from 8:30am to 12:30pm for all virtual learners. Call the office at 834-7903 when you arrive and we will bring your materials outside to you. We don’t want you to have to wait.
Tuesday, March 30: Later in the month, on Tuesday, March 30 students will not have school. We will still have our regular Wednesday independent work for students that week and it will be accessible by that Tuesday.
Looking forward to Spring!
Sincerely,
Michelle Kelly

Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is an after-school non-profit program for our 3rd-5th grade girls. The program teaches social emotional learning skills and healthy lifestyles for pre-teen girls through dynamic, interactive lessons as well as through running games. Regardless of financial circumstances, all families are welcome. A sliding-scale fee structure based on family income allows families to self-select and pay a rate that corresponds with their need level.
Girls on the Run start date: April 12th.
Ends Saturday, June 5th.
Practices are twice a week for 1-½ hours.
For more information about financial assistance or about the program, email Mrs. Doebereiner at sbdoebe@sunprairieschools.org, or to sign up directly, visit www.girlsontherunscwi.org/Program-Registration
