Erasmus week
From sunday 18th to saturday 24th
Sunday
After talking a little bit with them, we decided to go to a café, to meet each other better.
We stayed there for two hours, and then, every Catalan student went home with the Italian one that was with him or her.
Monday
We met at the school library and we made a lot of presentations related to early-school living, teaching and learning materials, what companies do...
We had a welcome by the Principal and we stayed all the day working on that themes related to jobs and schools (each country did a different presentation).
In the evening, we went to the bowling alley (Italian and Catalan students) and it was so much fun.
Then, we had dinner there and we sang a little bit in the karaoke.
Tuesday
On Tuesday we started working in transnational groups (mine was working on teaching-learning materials) but the others were doing another things related to what the erasmus was about.
At 10, the students we were hosting left the school to visit de Town Hall, then the Riera Ordeix factory (which makes tipical salami-type sausages). Then, they went to see the Rehearsal of castellers, but most of the catalan students, as me, stayed at school having normal lessons.
In the afternoon, all the Italian students and the Catalan ones who were hosting them met at my home to cook some chocolate cakes, it was really fun and the cake was tasty.
After that, the Italian girl I was hosting and me, went to have dinner at a pizzeria.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, we had a day trip to the Costa Brava. First, we stopped at Santa Coloma de Farners to visit the Galetes Trias Museum (from a Catalan factory that does traditional biscuits), and then, we went hiking from Platja de San Pol in S'Agaró to Platja d'Aro.
There, we had lunch and free time until four pm.
At 4, we left from platja d'Aro and aproximately at 5:30 we arrived at Vic.
In the afternoon, we went home and stayed there, we watched a film and had fun. It was a really good evening.
Thursday
On Thursday, there was a day trip to Barcelona, all the foreign students and some of the Catalan ones went to visit the city, the Gothic Quarter, the Sagrada Familia Basilica and other important and characteristic parts of the place.
The other students as me, who went to the beach the day before, stayed at school, doing our normal lessons.
The students we were hosting arrived at 6 pm approx.
In the afternoon, the Italian and Catalan students met at our friend's home, there, we cooked Crema Catalana and we played Just Dance all together.
It was really funny and we laughed a lot.
Friday
On Friday, we met at the school library at 8 am.
First, 4 senior students came to talk to us about internships and how all these things work.
Then, two teachers from our school, shew us what Economics and Enterpreneurship are and how they teach it to their students.
After a little break, Lali Molera, who is the managing director of a company called Casa Tió, explained us how to run a business and what skills are needed.
Finally we continued working on our transnational groups and we did our final presentations related to the things we were working on (for example, I did the presentation about teaching-learning materials).
In the afternoon, me and my foreign student stayed at home until 7.
At 7, we went to the school to celebrate the farewell party, first some students did talent shows and then we had a big dinner all together to celebrate that we had a really nice week.
