Newtons 1st Law of Motion

Newtons first law states that an object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an unbalanced force. Also its called Newtons Law of Inertia. Inertia measures an objects tendency to remain at rest.

An example of Newtons 1st law is a car accident. Say your parents get in a car accident and you didnt have your seatbelt on, well know the car comes to a stop with the impact but you will go right the window because even though the car stopped at immediate stop but your body still wants to move forward. So thats why people fly through windsheilds in car accidents.

Now the reason that inertia is apart of the first law is because it dependes on mass. when there is more mass there is more inertia. So what happens it will go at a constant speed while moving. Well so does Newtons 1st law because its just depends on mass and the more mass it will always stay at a constant speed.
