Return to School Option
As we approach the start of the school year, it is important that we finalize schedules in order to optimally serve students in each of their selected learning options: Traditional, mySchool Online, and Virtual.
On August 20th, Pasco County Schools are instituting a pause in transfers from one learning option to another. This will enable us to prepare for the students coming back on campus and for those who are learning online. The pause will be lifted after the first week of school, and transfers may resume after August 31. We will continue to accept schedule change requests during the pause. Please email gperez@pasco.k12.fl.us to request a learning option change.
Schedule changes for specific courses can be made through THIS LINK through 8/28/2020.

Parking & New Car Loop Procedures!
Student Drop-Off in Morning
Our drop off area will still only be in Car Loop 1 in the front of our school. All students brought to campus by car to be dropped off must be dropped off in the front of the school. No students are permitted on campus prior to 7am. Please do not drop any students off at CCHS earlier than 7am. When students are dropped off they have two choices:
- Go directly to their 1st period class.
- Go to the Cafeteria, pick up their breakfast, and go directly to their 1st period class.
*Loitering or hanging out is not permitted anywhere on campus.
New Parent Pick-Up Loop Procedures
Loop 1 - Students with Last Names A - H
- This is the same parent pickup used in previous years that passes in front of the main office.
- Students will stand in front of the main building near the gymnasium.
- Students will be required to stand on painted paw prints in this area to promote social distancing.
Loop 2 - Students with Last Names I - Z
- This is the NEW loop that runs through the Student Parking Lot in front of the gymnasium.
- Students will stand in front of the gymnasium entrance.
- The NEW loop will NOT pass through areas where students are allowed to park.
- Students will be required to stand on painted paw prints in this area to promote social distancing.
All students are required to stand on a coyote paw print painted on the ground to maintain a 6ft distance while waiting to be picked up.
The expectation for all students not participating in an after school activity is to leave campus promptly after the end of the school day.
We anticipate a significant amount of students will be picked up by parents. Please be patient with the process especially the first week as we look for ways to speed up the pickup process. Please be aware that the splitting of students into the loops may be adjusted after the first few days of school starting.
- All students must be picked up no later than 2:39pm.
The Pasco County Schools Code of Conduct states: School authorities are charged with the responsibility of supervising students no longer than thirty (30) minutes before or after school hours while such students are on campus, or thirty (30) minutes before or after an authorized school sponsored activity. This means that students should not arrive or be dropped off before 7AM, and they need to leave or be picked up before 2:39PM. If students are involved with activities, they should follow the same 30-minute guideline. Parents are not to rely on school supervision outside the time limits set forth above (F.S. 1003.31).

Brief Overview of Health and Safety Procedures at CCHS
MOVEMENT: Students are not permitted to stop in the hallways or courtyard at any time during the school day. All students should continue moving to and from class, and should always walk on the right side of the hallways, stairwells or the courtyard areas.
MASKS: Masks are required of adults & students. Everyone must wear masks in school buildings and when engaged in school activities. Read the District's face covering policy here:
SIGNS: Students and visitors will see signs all around the campus about social distancing, hand washing, directional arrows for keeping to the right when moving about the campus.
HYGIENE: Hand sanitizer has been provided to every staff member and is in every classroom at CCHS. Soap dispensers are in all bathrooms.
DISINFECTION: Custodians will be disinfecting each room daily. Our teachers and staff have been supplied with germicide in spray bottles to use in their classrooms at the end of each class period. Students will be asked to clean their desk area and any shared material they use. We have provided all teachers with cleaning products to assist with community cleaning.
WATER FOUNTAINS: Water fountains will be accessible for bottle filling only. We are asking that students DO NOT DRINK directly from water fountains.
CLINIC: The clinic will have a separate isolation room nearby for any unwell students exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19. We will contact parents/guardians for students to be picked up if they exhibit signs or symptoms of Covid-19. We have procedures in place for any situation that may arise. Please see the District link above titled "The Covid-19 Response Guide" for more specifics.
LUNCH: The seating in the cafeteria and outdoor cafeteria space has been changed and seating has been limited to provide for social distancing. Our entire courtyard area, and our gym will also be open for lunch so that students can spread out to enjoy their meal.
