Ms. Quick's Class
April 15, 2016
This week in Class...
Writing: We continue to write in our journals during writing. Our big focus continues to be sounding out words and using finger spaces. The class has really improved in their writing over the year! In the coming weeks, we are going to try our hand at "how to" writing. We may even try and make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich following our directions.
Math: In math we are finishing module 10. We are doing a lot of reviewing to see what gaps we have in our learning so I can make sure to cover those again before the end of the year!
Science: The students spent this week learning about how a seed grows into a plant. We also got to take a look at how eggs hatch and we get chicks. Check out the website later today for pictures of when the class got to meet the chicks!

**As an FYI... I coach the Varsity Girls Softball team and April and May are jam packed with games. There are many days where I will have to leave 15-30 minutes before the end of the day. If you have any information that I need to know or relay to your child, please contact me earlier in the day or contact the office and they can relay the message to Ms. Krueger. **
