Many of our classrooms participate in genius hour learning activities at some point in the year. What is genius hour?

Mrs. Egan's students engage in genius hour throughout the year. Mrs. Egan and Mr. Fillette worked together to design self-paced and differentiated supports for the students as they learn from mistakes along the way. There is an emphasis on quantity and quality, collaboration, and autonomy. As Mrs. Egan put it: "Genius Hour helps students learn skills they will need throughout their lives."

Seen below, are generating topics that they are curious about and starting their research.

We are taking song requests!

To start our day off on an up-beat, we like to play a song before we listen to our daily announcements at Warwick. Mrs. Taggart has been thinking of songs each morning and asking others what songs they like. We thought it would be great to get everyone's song requests. If you have a song that would be a positive way to start our day, please use the link below to suggest it. If we play your suggestion, we will announce the music title and artist, your name, and the reason why you selected the song (if you choose to share that).
