What you really need to know.
- PLEASE return Talent Show participation forms ASAP so we can plan accordingly. Also remember that YOU are responsible for choreography, rehearsal, and prep of all talent acts at home. Create a 1-2 minute routine that your child can master and start practicing now!! Your assistance with at home rehearsals is especially important for students performing with peers in small groups. We will begin staging and run-throughs at school in one week, so get started ASAP. Please provide a CD of any music accompaniment you would like us to play during your child's performance.
- Our ABC countdown has been a riot so far. Participation is voluntary, so please don't run out and buy flip flops if you don't have any. Though, Children's Place is selling them for a dollar all weekend if you need some, in general. Please help prepare your child this week for:
- Tuesday - (F) Flip flop day.
- Wednesday - (G) Wear something Green.
- Thursday - (H) Hat day.
- Friday - (I) When "I" was a baby. Help prepare your child to tell about one of the following biographical facts: My favorite story, my favorite food, or my first word... When I was a baby.

What we've been up to.
- We went to a spectacular Memorial Day assembly! We enjoyed traditional songs and lots of great background education on why we observe this important event.
- We planted flowers in front of the school with KASE and Mrs. Rapp's class. Then we went on an outdoor scavenger hunt!
- We finished Think Math Chapter Five and will be working on reviewing learned concepts for the remainder of the year (with a little bit of three dimensional solid shapes and some measurement too).
- We received tadpoles from the science center. We have talked about life cycles and are anxiously awaiting the next stage of their metamorphosis.
- We have been reading Mo Willems Elephant and Piggie stories.
- Crazy hair day, bubble day, and exciting experiment day were so much fun! Our experiment demonstrated how air creates thrust to get a balloon to travel down the length of a string at varying speeds.

Something fun to do over the summer. Online drawing camp. 30 lessons for $10!
The things kids say. For real.
Our tadpoles arrived. Cute little swimming things in a container of swampy pond water. The first question a kindergarten teacher is required to ask (by law) is:
Mrs. Cohen: What do you think these are?
Student 1: Caterpillars!
We're in the right genre, anyway.
