The Oxford Update
Oxford Elementary School
The Great Kindness Challenge
This week, Oxford Elementary School will be participating in the Great Kindness Challenge. The Great Kindness Challenge is presented by Kids for Peace, a global nonprofit organization. Kids for Peace was co-founded in 2006 by Danielle Gram, a high school honors student and Jill McManigal, a mother and former elementary school teacher. The Great Kindness Challenge is a grassroots movement that is making our schools, communities, and world a kinder and more compassionate place for all. Working together, we joyfully prove that KINDNESS MATTERS!
We hope you will join your child in our kindness challenge. You can find copies of the kindness checklists that students will be encouraged to work on, in the links below. #kindnessmatters

Student Wellness Challenge Winners
Over Christmas break students were invited to participate in a Wellness Challenge that would keep them moving. Students were asked to build an exercise snowman. Each part of the snowman's body required students to do a different exercise 10 times. Students who returned their exercise snowman were entered to win prizes. Congratulations to our winners, Arthor, Colby, Kaitlyn, Sofia-Ann, Trevor, Bronwyn, Mara, Izabell, and Camden!
