Back to School Bash! GCA at Stone Mountain Park
Part of GCA Outing Day 9.22/2016
11:00 am - Stone Mountain Park
Join us for a back to school event at Stone Mountain Park. Bring your own picnic and blanket to the park and enjoy a day of fun! Meet currently enrolled families, teachers, and staff. Wear your favorite red t-shirt and enjoy some family-friendly music, field games, a talent show and more. Special guests include Dekalb County Fire Department’s Fire Safety House, Home Depot's Kids Workshop, Serenbe Playhouse characters, University System of Georgia representatives and a few others. We will also have information about our online public school program for those interested in learning more. This event will take place at the Fireside Pavilion and Event Meadow. September District Town Hall Title I Meeting!
The Family Engagement Team hosts monthly District Town Hall meetings where we share district wide information to inform you of upcoming events, department news, ways to further help your student at home, and other district-wide news.
Our second District Town Hall meeting will occur on Thursday, September 15th at 7:00 pm. Join us as we host our second District Town Hall Parent meeting of the 2016-2017 school year. We will hold our annual Title I meeting tonight where you will have a chance to provide input on District Wide Title I programming. See you there!

Student Clubs
We Love Clubs!
Does your student want to connect with other students who share a common interest? Clubs are the way to do that! Many clubs are sponsored by GCA teachers or Learning Coaches, and others are offered at the national level by K12. A state list of in-person clubs is growing, so be sure to see if there are any clubs happening close to you!
Fundraising from home:
Support the fundraising efforts for our school by collecting the Box Tops for Education and Labels for Education, and Tyson Project A+™ labels on items you purchase and use in your home Plus, newly added Kula, Amazon Smile, and Recycle Electronics.
Clipping Box Tops is an easy way for you to help our school earn cash. Last school year, we earned $1394.60 and used the money to get student incentives for their students. This school year, our school’s earnings goal is $1500.00.
Bundle with rubber bands, baggies or rally sheet place in an envelope attach proper postage.
