What's Been Happening?

Need a handicapped space reserved for the graduation ceremony?

If you have a graduation attendee that requires seating on the bottom floor due to physical limitations, please call Mrs. Stoner or Mrs. Huerta so that a spot can be reserved. Due to space limitations, a seat can only be reserved for the person requiring the special seating and one additional guest. Thank you.

Landry Topo placed 4th in the state today in Pole Vault! Good luck to Emma and Sam in hurdles and Andrew in the 1600 later tonight!

course selections mailed home last week

Thank you so much for all the changes sent to Mrs. Huerta for your son's or daughter's course selections for next school year. It is so helpful to get these all corrected as they do really help us plan for next year and our staffing needs.

Keep them coming!

Another round of updated course selections will be mailed home with end of year report cards. All course selection changes are due by July 15, 2019!

Attendance Matters.

The vast majority of our students with excessive absences fail to pass their classes. Students need to be at school everyday.

Our schoolwide attendance goal for this year is 97%. Our state funding is based on the percentage of students at school at 10:30 am every day. Higher attendance rate = more money for resources for your student.

For students who miss school, here is some very important attendance information:

3 or more unexcused absences in a 4 week period - warning letter sent home and phone call from the principal.

7 or more unexcused absences in a 6-month period - warning letter sent home and Behavior Intervention Plan meeting called with the parents, student, and assistant principal.

10 or more unexcused absences in a 6 month period - truancy charges are filed. Parent, student and school administrator will be summoned to appear in truancy court.

Our campus goal is to reach 97% attendance each day.

Thanks for your support!
