FHS Newsletter
June 2021
Congratulations, Class of 2021! We are so proud of you!
Senior News:
As a final reminder, our 2021 Commencement will be held at the Fridley High School football field on Thursday, June 3rd, at 7 pm. Gates will open at 6:15 pm and you and your guests must have your tickets to enter.
Commencement Tickets
Due to recent guidelines on outdoor gatherings, we are able to safely accommodate four guests per senior at the field.
Seniors will receive tickets on Tuesday, June 1, or Wednesday, June 2, throughout the day, in the media center, once your student has dropped off their Chromebook, charger, and case.
Any student who does not drop off their Chromebook will not receive a ticket to graduation.
Mandatory Commencement Practice
Mandatory graduation practice for seniors only will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd, starting at 11:00 am with lunch in the cafeteria, and the program beginning at 11:30 am in the auditorium.
Dress for the weather (including rain) and wear comfortable shoes as we will be outside practicing on the football field for a few hours.
Online Academy: Register your Interest for 2021-2022
Register your interest in the Fridley Online Academy for the school year 2021-2022!
We need to find out if there is enough interest to pursue creating the Academy.
If there is not enough interest, we will modify our Online Academy offering.
Registering now doesn’t mean you must join the Online Academy, it merely means that you are interested and want to learn the expectations and requirements.
Please register your interest by June 4.
We will contact you in June to complete the signup process for the Online Academy.
At that time, we will inform you how the Academy is set up and what expectations there are for students.
You can choose to stay in the in-person model of Fridley Schools or to sign up for the Online Academy.
Click here for more information or call Chandra Hanke at 763-502-5609.
