Dates to Remember

  • Wednesday, October 19 - bring a canned good to Mass-see flyer
  • Friday, October 21 - 5/6 will be hosting the rosary in the gym at 2:00
  • Tuesday, October 25 - 6th grade field trip to Catholic Charities (9:00-2:00, plus travel)
  • Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28 - Student Led Conferences
  • Thursday, October 27- 6th grade Halloween Dance 7-9
  • Monday, October 31- All students can come to school dressed as their favorite saints. Saint Presentation 2:00 in the gym
  • Tuesday, November 1- All Saints Day Mass at 10:00 hosted by 5B
  • Thursday, November 17 - 6th and 1st grade to Nolan for Mass

5th Social Studies and Religion

In Social Studies the students will continue work on their explorer presentation. On Wednesday they will present their work! Stay tuned for pictures.


We are continuing to pray a decade of the rosary daily during this month of the rosary. The kids can bring a rosary from home if they like. We will finish work on our Saint Books and begin to create shrines for our class saints!!

5th Grade ELAR

We will continue our book study with Where The Red Fern Grows. How will it end?!


Students are reading for comprehension, as well as examining the craft of writing through the talent of author Wilson Rawles.


This week we will be writing a personal narrative. It'll be exciting to see what they write about!

6th Social Studies and Religion

On Monday the kids will take their Unit 1 test! From there we will begin our study of Egypt. We will begin by reading Kids Discover Egypt. Then we will work to complete a webquest. Be ready to hear about building pyramids, making mummies, and doing Egyptian math!


On Tuesday the kids have their quiz over the Pentateuch and Historical books. Our next quiz will add the Wisdom books. That quiz will be on October 28.

6th Grade ELAR

As we continue our book study, we are examining the cycle of the epic hero with our protagonist Taran in The Book of Three.


We will be writing a personal narrative this week. It should be interesting to see what they write about!
