The mid-year switch for Health and PE classes will take place on Monday, January 24, 2022. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions about this change.

Kindess Matters
Since before Thanksgiving, we have seen an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the district. We understand that continuing to navigate COVID-19 as a family is an enormous challenge.
Our school nurses and school administrators have been on the receiving end of many difficult phone calls and emails in recent weeks from families who are upset with the COVID-19 protocols and procedures. Please know that the protocols followed have been set by DESE and DPH and not from the school districts. Our nurses and administrators are doing their best to keep everyone informed and safe in school. We appreciate your kindness, patience, and cooperation as we work together to navigate through this pandemic. Please know that our collective efforts are designed to ensure that students, staff, and families remain safe and healthy.
Report Card Information
Term 1 grades will close on Friday, January 21 and report cards will be available through the Aspen Parent Portal on Friday, February 4. Please be on the lookout next week for an email from Aspen that will provide information on how to access the parent portal.

Counselors' Corner
Dear Families,
Happy New Year! All of our students have worked hard to persevere and build skills to support learning, emotional health and peer relationships. We are so proud of them and know these skills will continue to develop as we move through this school year. Our students have grown in ways that will serve them well in the years ahead!
Please feel free to utilize these slides to foster conversations with your children and please remind them how excited we are about all of their great work here at the Delaney School.
The slides contain LOTS of information on lessons we have taught in grades k/1. There is also a slide on lessons taught in grades 2 and 3. The remaining slides are geared toward implementing mindfulness and coping strategies at home. We look forward to spending time with your child/children during our classroom SEL lessons!
Respectfully,
Daniela Paparo
Raffaella Paparo
Kristen McLellan
