Thank you Paparangi!
Working Bee - Sunday 18 Sept
Kia ora te whānau ō Paparangi School
Thanks to the enthusiastic group of families who heeded the call and came along to the Working Bee yesterday.
The grounds look amazing! The new wilderness area is underway and there are other projects that tamariki will finish at Enviro-Day on Tuesday 27 September.
Helping at the Working Bee is a wonderful way to model the value of "OTHERS" to tamariki. Giving service to others is an important aspect of our GROW values.
There are always more odd jobs to do, so even if you couldn't help on Sunday, perhaps consider volunteering on Enviro Day. We need help with jobs like planting and mulching gardens.
Thanks again to everyone who came along - supplied equipment, donated sand for the long jump pit, mowed lawns, pruned trees, water-blasted parts of the playground, trimmed edges, turned over the sand in the sandpit, laid out the wooden rounds like stepping stones, weeded lots of the gardens and dug the bank by the kindy gate - and also to the families who supplied refreshments for afternoon tea. Your support is appreciated - thanks for helping to make Paparangi a better place!
