Please continue to keep the Loftice family in your thoughts and prayers. Dorothy was one of our favorite subs and volunteers and we will miss her immensely. She had a heart of gold and loved each and every one of our students. Family visitation is tonight from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Elmont Baptist Church. Her funeral is tomorrow at 11:00 am in the VAHS gymnasium.

Digital Responsibility

Parents, below is a link to an article that lists 9 apps that you need to be aware of. It is essential for you to be informed and understand some of the dangers that comes along with apps that kids have access to.

Youth Digital Summer Camp

Van Alstyne ISD in partnership with Region 10 Education Service Center and Youth Digital is offering 2 Digital Youth Camps this summer for students age 10 -16.

Youth Digital empowers kids and teens to be digital creators, designers, animators, programmers and developers. The course work provides campers a comprehensive learning experience that is amazingly fun, highly interactive and extremely effective.

Campers watch videos, respond to questions, earn badges, and complete challenging assignments and quizzes as they step toward mastering critical technology skills and professional-level software. Computers are provided at the camp site. No prior programming or design experience is necessary. Youth Digital summer camp courses are designed to make learning new digital skills fun and effective. Campers will be guided through every step, from downloading the software to submitting your final project.

A Message from the yearbook class...

Our VAMS yearbooks have sold like hotcakes, and if you don’t act now, you’ll miss your chance to catch some memories! Only 75 yearbooks remaining, and that number won’t be going up any time soon! Each yearbook currently costs $45. Our prices are temporary, and they very well could be going up! Don’t wait too long; you might just be a victim of the yearbook regrets!
