Flowers blooming in the snow!
This symbolized something much deeper to me and gave me hope for the future. I was reminded of our students and how incredibly resilient they are in spite of all the things stacked up against them. I realized, they continue to grow. Jaclyn Anglis once wrote, "though many people and (flowers) follow this practical pattern, some flowers have a different plan, and that's to get moving as quickly as possible, no matter how much snow or other setbacks get in the way.
Perhaps snow-covered flowers signal a fresh start or even the beginning of a new chapter. No matter how cold it is outside, these flowers still prevail and will bloom into something beautiful. Who says we have to wait until the snow melts for us to start blooming, anyway?
