A little about my family...
I am the middle child in my family. My older sister, Stephanie, and younger brother, Brian, both live in Mississippi. My husband and I have been married for 20 years and we have two, wonderful children. Abbie is a junior at James River High School, and our son, Sam, is in eighth grade at CAMS. We also have two dogs, Maggie and Gus. We enjoy eating dinner together as a family and spending quality time in the outdoors.
A little about my education...
Elementary School: Tecumseh North Elementary School (Topeka, KS)
My second grade teacher, Mrs. Swibold, was one of my favorite teachers. She led us in songs several times a day and if we were really good, she would yodel for us!
Middle School: Hernando Middle School
I attended middle school in Hernando, Mississippi.
High School: Hernando High School
Go Tigers! I loved my humanities class. My teacher incorporated experiences in art, literature, photography, and theatre. I was in so many advanced science and math classes at the time that humanities was actually a class where I felt like I was learning something I loved rather than learning quickly for a test. I was the valedictorian of my graduating class, homecoming queen, and loved playing varsity softball, basketball, and track.
Colleges: Ole Miss and University of Tennessee
I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology at Ole Miss and then attended the University of Tennessee to complete a masters in physical therapy. I was a member of the Phi Mu sorority at Ole Miss, treasurer of the graduating class of 1999, and the Ambassador director.
