A Little History

Ayn Rand was born February 2nd, 1905, she was a Russian American Novelist, Philosopher, and screenwriter. Rand was known by many for her way of thinking. She thought that reason was the only way to acquire knowledge. She rejected faith and religion. For this she was ridiculed and judged by many, and her philosophies strike still up argument today

Early Life

She was born in Saint's Petersburg, she moved away when she was little an when she turned 16 she actually attended a university. During her time as a young adult she realized she valued reason more then anything which would later cause turmoil when people read her books.

Philosophy and Contreversy

Rand called her philosophy "Objectivism", describing its essence as "the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute"
