MISSION: IGNITING A PASSION FOR LEARNING
Message from the Principal
Dear Families,
It's hard to believe we are already approaching the third trimester of the school year! As we move forward into this final stretch, there are some important updates and reminders I'd like to share with you.
Firstly, please be aware that state testing will be taking place the week before and after Spring Break. To help your child prepare and perform their best, please ensure they have earbuds for testing. This will allow them to focus without distractions and fully engage with the test material.
We will also be offering breakfast on a couple of the testing mornings. A nutritious breakfast is essential for fueling their brains and ensuring they have the energy to concentrate during testing. However, it's equally important that they get enough sleep leading up to the testing days. A well-rested mind is better equipped to tackle challenges and retain information.
Furthermore, I encourage you to remind your child to pack an extra snack during testing days. Testing can be mentally taxing, and having a small snack on hand can help sustain their energy levels throughout the day.
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child's success. Together, we can help them excel academically and reach their full potential.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Skelton

From the Desk of the School Counselor, Mrs. Weber
Hello Families,
I don’t know about you all, but am struggling to believe it’s March already! While I am in disbelief of how fast the time is passing, I continue to feel a level of comfort in our KMS Community. Those feelings continue to develop thanks to all of the wonderful people here!
Please read the updates below from my corner of our community:
Student Appointments:
I will continue to meet with students individually to provide support, guidance, and mentorship. Many students are reaching out using the app on their Launchpad or by email, which is excellent! Please encourage your child to reach out if they would like to schedule a meeting.
6th Grade Lessons on Healthy Relationships:
Our 6th grade students will engage in lessons on healthy relationships, learning valuable skills that they can carry with them throughout their lives.
Additional Information:
If you have any questions or simply want to introduce yourself, feel free to reach out at any time. Your partnership and support are greatly appreciated!
Warm regards,
Rachel Weber, KMS Counselor
