SJCS Family Newsletter

May 2022

We made it to May, y'all! There have been so many great things going on this spring and we have so much to look forward to in these next few weeks.

As we prepare for some fun in the sun over the summer months, know that there will be a lot of work going on behind the scenes as we begin to tackle our goals and action steps in our Long Range Plan that we have set forth for next school year.

If you'll remember back to the end of the fall semester, we sent out surveys to families to get feedback on what we do well as a school and our challenges or areas we could improve upon. That data was disaggregated and compiled into themes that were brought forth to our staff who have worked incredibly hard over the last few months to put together a plan for us moving forward.

Our school board has also provided feedback and we are in the final revisions of the document that will be published early in June. I am excited to share our plans for the 22-23 school year with everyone as it encompasses a level of accountability to those we serve (our students and their families) and provides some energy toward growing toward excellence together.

Along those same lines, we have worked to identify our school vision and mission statements to make sure we are able to clearly communicate what we do and why we do it. Stay tuned for a big reveal tomorrow, May 2nd, on the unification of these statements and our school branding-it's going to be exciting!

Thank you all for praying, volunteering, supporting, and loving our school!

Go Eagles & God bless!

Mrs. Mishler
