Ms. Miller's Classroom News!
November-December
Tis the Season to be Busy!
As far as this amazing class is concerned, you have a rough draft scheduled to be due November 26th (day prior to Thanksgiving break). Due to other classes having projects and assignments due that same week, I am extending your drafts to be DUE December 1st. No late papers will be accepted due to the extension. Please, take advantage of the extra time to upgrade the draft's quality. This will also extend the date of the term paper's admittance! I will give you that date as soon as possible, so stay posted!!
Annual Epic Holiday-Ho-Ho-Humbug Festival
Yes! My favorite time of the year is just around the corner! Now, here are a few things you and your parents need to be aware of:
- We will be collecting clothes and non-perishable food items to donate to local children's homes during December 8th-12th. Wrap it, bag it, box it, or just carry it in! We will take ONE day to sort and organize the items to be ready to ship the following week.
- Whether or not you enjoy the holidays, I will have a holiday festival prepared for December 19th. Feel free to sign up for: Chips, Dips, Sprite, Plates, Cups, Candies, Hot Chocolate, Marshmallows, or Cookies. I will bring sandwiches and little smokies!
- On the day of the festival, there will be a quiz over a few holiday movies. Be prepared because how many answers your team gets correct will be EXTRA CREDIT!!! AAHH! The movie list is as follows: Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Tim Alan's Santa Clause, and the Christmas Story. Good luck!
