Happy January, Scholars!
Welcome to the New Year!
We hope you enjoyed your time off from school and are ready to take on 2024!
It is time to start setting new goals to achieve and working toward them.
As a reminder, these are your yearly Middle School Program Requirements:
6-8th Grades:- Attend 1 Academy
- Submit AT LEAST 2 hours of Community Service
If you have already completed community service this summer, please submit your hours at the link at the bottom.

Crosby Check Ins
💡Crosby Check In ✏️
We will host Crosby Check-Ins this semester for students to have an opportunity to complete their academy and community service requirements.
Please be on the lookout for upcoming dates for each school.
SEMS's first check-in will be on Wed, Jan. 17th, beginning during the exploratory time.
Students, if you have not completed your academy for this school year, please be sure to attend the first check-in.

How to: Reset for the New Year
Scholars and Parents! The holidays have come and gone, and it is time to get back into the swing of things. Here are five things you can do to help reset for the new year.
1. Declutter your space
2. Take time to reflect on 2023
3. Set new goals to achieve for 2024
4. Make a schedule that works for you
5. Incorporate healthier choices
Mental Health Matters
1. Stay warm
2. Exercise at least 30 minutes daily
3. Stay hydrated
4. Wash your hands often
5. Make nutritious food choices
6. Get out and get some sunlight!
7. Get enough sleep
And most importantly, if you need help, reach out!

Hanson graduated from Salisbury High and is an alumnus of UNC-Pembroke. He is from Philly and loves the Philadelphia Eagles. He played 4 sports (basketball, track, soccer & football) and won 3 state championship rings (track & soccer).

Roberta graduated from Salisbury High School and is a Howard University alumna. She is also a Salisbury native and graduated from the Crosby Scholars program. Roberta loves to read fiction books in her free time and watch new TV shows. She was on the dance team and played tennis for Salisbury High.
