Message from the Principal
Dear Parents,
Recently I have conducted "Tik Tok Talks" with students. With "Influencers" (people creating TIK TOK videos and becoming famous) choosing to create these crazy challenges such as Steal Soap Dispensers, Slap a teacher it is so important that we are aware of the social media channels that our children are engaging in. We are growing thinkers and problem solvers not followers and I am proud to say that we have had only a hand full of incidents that are related to these TIK TOK challenges. Social Media can be a challenge to monitor and discuss with our children. Check out this article on 10 Ways to Monitor Your Child's Social Media Use for some ideas. Thank you for your support.

Wise Wednesday
Have your child wear a college shirt or color every Wednesday to support our Wisdom Wednesday. On Wisdom Wednesdays, the students will focus on their future. Learning about careers, setting goals and looking ahead will help us to be successful and reach our full potential. This 9 weeks we are learning about the careers under the Public Service Endorsement like educators and first responders.
The power of MINDSET
The Great 8- Optimistic Thinking
Our Great 8 Skill for this 9 weeks has been Optimistic Thinking. Ask your child what optimistic thinking means. Have a discussion with your child by sharing a time in your adult life where you had to change your negative thoughts into positive thoughts to overcome a challenge so your child sees the value in having a positive mindset will help him/her overcome difficult times. Positive affirmations lead to positive thinking. Get our Pandaโs day started on a positive note by having them say a positive affirmation everyday.
Try one of these affirmations this weekโฆ
