The Trantwood PTA would like to introduce you to
The Cardinal Closet!
The PTA will now be collecting gently used Trantwood Spirit Wear to donate to families in need at our school!
If your little cardinal has grown into a big cardinal or your child is moving onto middle school and you would like to donate any Trantwood clothing that is too small for your child or no longer needed, please drop off any items to the bin labeled The Cardinal Closet on the stage in the cafeteria.
Please contact Krista Booth at kristabooth80@gmail.com with any questions

Joy Fair
As outlined in Compass to 2020, Goal 4 includes a focus on improving working conditions and fostering a culture of respect among all staff. To support this effort, the Office of Professional Growth and Innovation is sponsoring a Joy Fair on Feb. 22 from 5-7 p.m. at College Park Elementary School. This event is an opportunity for all staff to learn strategies focused on transforming classroom environments and school cultures by maximizing joy and motivation for both staff and students. Attendees will have the opportunity to browse interactive learning stations that will be hosted by Joy Ambassadors, staff who have committed to leading and supporting joy within their classrooms and schools. Please see the flyer I emailed to you on Thursday for details and RSVP information.
If there are questions regarding the fair, please contact Akilah Ellison, professional learning specialist, at 263-6972 or Akilah.Ellison@vbschools.com. Thank you for sharing this information with your staff.
An Attitude of Gratitude Rocks!
~Karen Francis and Mrs. Lewis - both were such a help to me during this week's ACCESS testing. Mrs. Francis has a very calming influence with the children - they know and trust her - so she was a great choice for the proctor. Patty Jack
~Thank you to LouAnne Metzger and Karen Lewis for all you do, especially for your support with our more challenging little ones! Thank you again to Nancy Lambert, Brooke Martinette, and Sue Jerasa for all of your help preparing, restocking and implementing our Digital Citizenship break out boxes, I truly couldn’t have done it without you! Kudos to Kim Catt for your amazing social-emotional activities during morning meeting, because of them your classroom truly feels like a family where all are accepted and feel safe! Thank you to Tim Cassidy for spreading JOY and encouraging us to recognize and thank the colleagues that inspire us! Lisa Lee
~Kudos from Sarah and Megan to everyone for helping with Club Photos this morning! We know it is an interruption but the students are so proud to be in the various clubs and activities and their photo is important to them! Thank you again!!!!! Sarah Gannon & Megan Bailey, Yearbooks Sponsors
