First Day of School!
September 16, 2020
What a wonderful day in the Lynnfield Public Schools! Our children began their school year today not in the way we had all hoped but they were back with their teachers and their friends learning! I was able to pop into some zoom classrooms this morning and to say hello and meet some of our students! They were engaged, asking and answering questions, sharing stories from the summer, learning the ins and outs of zoom, "going" to specials and coming back to the zoom classroom and most importantly they were smiling! Thank you to all of you, our parents, caregivers and guardians, who provided a designated learning space for our students and supported them in being ready to start the school year today!
I am so proud of our teachers and staff! They were absolutely amazing in what they planned and prepared for our students today for the first day of school remotely! They have worked so hard and their passion and commitment to our students, no matter what the classroom looks like, is incredible and inspiring.
We have officially begun a new school year that looks so different than we have ever started school and none of us know what it will look like when this year ends. Despite the uncertainties, we will be here for our children and families and our children will grow and learn as students and human beings. We have got this.
Thank you for all of your continued support and patience this year and always. We appreciate you all.
