This coming Friday, February 18 is a scheduled half-day of school. Dismissal will be at 11:30. There will be no pizza and no scheduled after-school care on that day.


El próximo viernes 18 de febrero es un medio día de clases programado. La salida será a las 11:30. Ese día no habrá pizza ni servicio de guardería programado para después de la escuela.

Makeup Day/Recuperación de día perdido

In December school closed due to an unexpected electrical grid shut down. In order to have the correct number of school days in session, we need to use our first makeup day. February 21, 2022 school will be in session to make up the school closing.


En diciembre la escuela cerró debido a un corte inesperado de la red eléctrica. Para tener el número correcto de días escolares en sesión, necesitamos usar nuestro primer día de recuperación. El 21 de febrero de 2022, la escuela estará en sesión para compensar el cierre de la escuela.

ELECTION DAY - TUESDAY, MARCH 1 - VIRTUAL DAY

Conroe SDA Church and CAA is a voting site. This is one way we serve and give back to the community. On some election days, precincts are consolidated and there is no disturbance to the school day. On other election days, the projected lower number of voters allows for the one-day church to be used without disturbing the school day. When projected voter numbers are high the precinct requests to use our gymnasium space. This coming election day has a high number of voters predicted and the gymnasium will be used.


Our number one priority is the safety of the students. There will be a large number of individuals and visitors in and out of the building that day. As a precaution, we will be doing a virtual day on March 1, 2022. Homework packets will be sent home for the younger classes. The 7-12th grades will meet through Google Classroom and Google Meet at normally scheduled class times.

2022/2023 INTENT TO RETURN/2022/2023 INTENCIÓN DE REGRESO

It is that time of year when we are actively working on budgeting, programming, and planning for the next school year. To plan appropriately for staffing and budgeting we ask parents to let us know their intent to return. Please complete the Intent to Return form for your family with a $50 deposit to reserve your space for the 2022/2023 school year before March 4, 2023. This amount can be credited towards your 2022/2023 registration fees. Submitting your Intent to Return form ensures your student a classroom space, as well as a 3% discount if tuition rates change for the upcoming school year (this has not been determined at this time).


We have an active waitlist forming for the upcoming school year. On March 4, 2023, new enrollments will be accepted and everyone will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.


Es esa época del año cuando estamos trabajando activamente en el presupuesto, la programación y la planificación para el próximo año escolar. Para planificar adecuadamente la dotación de personal y el presupuesto, les pedimos a los padres que nos informen su intención de regresar. Parent/Teacher Conferences - Progress Reports/Conferencias de padres y maestros - Informes de progreso

Progress Reports for the third quarter were sent home last week. Please return the acknowledgment form. Teachers would like the opportunity to sit down face to face with each family to go over progress reports as well as the MAPS Growth testing. Once you return the form indicating you would like a conference, teachers will reach out to you to schedule an appropriate time.


Los informes de progreso del tercer trimestre se enviaron a casa la semana pasada. Por favor devuelva el formulario de acuse de recibo. A los maestros les gustaría tener la oportunidad de sentarse cara a cara con cada familia para repasar los informes de progreso y las pruebas de progreso de MAPS. Illness Update/Actualización de enfermedad

As of today, February 14, 2022, we have had no additional reported positive cases of COVID or close contact reported. We seem to have reached the end of the stomach bug. We do have some reports of allergy and cold-type symptoms that are not related to Covid. Thank you for helping to keep our school community safe. If close contact occurs at school we will notify affected classrooms and report accordingly to the local health department.

Hasta el día de hoy, 14 de febrero de 2022, no se han informado casos positivos adicionales de COVID o contactos cercanos. Parece que hemos llegado al final del virus estomacal. Tenemos algunos informes de alergia y síntomas de tipo resfriado que no están relacionados con Covid. Gracias por ayudar a mantener segura a nuestra comunidad escolar.
