Fulton Focus
For the parents and patrons of the Fulton School District
September 25, 2020
A message from the Superintendent
We are officially almost one month into the school year and we are starting to settle into our new routines. While it may look different, students and teachers are in classrooms and learning together. Homecoming is in a couple of weeks and will be an example of how the FPS community is taking this challenging situation as an opportunity to be creative and still make it a special week. As you will see below, the students and staff have developed a number of unique ways to continue to celebrate this time-honored tradition.
Another challenge is quickly approaching as we enter the flu season. My hope is that some of our current practices for COVID will also pay dividends in preventing the spread of the flu. We want to thank parents for continuing to evaluate your students and keeping them home if they are ill. This will continue to be an important step to maintaining in-person instruction.
I would like to thank the staff, students, and community for their efforts which have allowed us to be in-school, in-person thus far! #FultonProud
It’s a great day to be a Hornet!

APR Update
On September 22, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education announced that an Annual Performance Report (APR) will not be generated for the 2019-20 school year. This decision was a result of several changes in the spring in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Data from the 2019-20 school year related to college and career readiness and the graduation rate will be embargoed until the release of the District Report Card, as required by state and federal law, on December 1, 2020.
