UIL Eligibility:

This Friday marks the 1st UIL Eligibility determination for the first 6 weeks of school. All assignments to this point must be turned in by Friday, October 1. We want to encourage and support all our students. Grades will be due for teachers to enter on Tuesday, October 5th. Chromebook Devices and Chargers:

Please ensure that all students have their device in all classes. It is an expectation for students to bring them fully charged.


Chargers can easily be lost. The charger replacement fee is $30. You are also welcome to purchase this charger on Amazon and turn that in to the school when turning in any devices and their parts. Here is the link to the only charger that we will accept from Amazon- CLICK HERE. Payment for a new charger can be made online at https://hayscisd.revtrak.net/hcisd-technology/#/v/Technology-Device-Payment. PSAT Information:

On October 13, 2021, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT exam on campus. Please read more about this exam below.



IDs:

IDs are being printed and will be passed out SOON. Students are expected to wear IDs on campus. If ID is lost, we will print another one at $5.00. If $5.00 is not paid, then it will go on the obligation list for the student. For more ID information, see below.

Student Items and LUNCH and After School Food Deliveries are allowed:

We allow deliveries from parents and commercial delivery services. We have a set protocol that we have been using since last year that works. All deliveries must have the student's name on it and placed on the table. Please let your student know that items have been delivered. The campus is not responsible for lost and stolen items.


Face Masks are still highly encouraged. If you are on campus and in need, their are extra masks in the office, classrooms and in front of the nurse's office. Continue to look at our current COVID safety plan and our Hays CISD COVID Dashboard.

Open House and Clubs and Organizations Showcase

On Monday, October 4th, come on campus and meet your student's teachers!


5:30pm - Clubs and Organization Showcase:
Our students will showcase all of our clubs and organizations in the cafeteria. Feel free to peruse around to get more information and sign up.


6:00pm - 8:10pm - Open House: This is an opportunity for parents and guardians to meet their student's teachers. We will run a modified bell schedule to see all teachers in their classrooms. Make sure you have a copy of your student(s) schedules.

Sharing the GREAT!!

  • I'd like to recognize Mr. Barker for all the great work he has done for my kids throughout the years. This year alone he's been having to work with two of my daughters in getting their schedules rearranged due to changes they've made and I certainly do appreciate all the work and patience he's had.
  • I have two students here at Lehman. This year they share the same counselor this year (Yolanda M.) GREAT! Recently, with very short notice she was able to schedule me in and did a great job on assisting me with both my students schedules. Today on the first day things went smoothly. 😃
  • I got new friends and got my best friend back and also a new best friend.

LHS Parking Permits

To purchase a parking permit, you must have:

  • A completed form
  • Your current Driver’s License
  • Your current insurance card
  • Full Payment | Accepted methods of payment are Cash or online pay at the LHS Web Store (no checks)
  • Reserved Parking: $70.00
  • Reserved Parking + Paint your Spot Fee: $90.00
  • Standard Parking | Full Year [Aug-May]: $50.00
  • Standard Parking | 2nd Semester[Jan-May]: $25.00
  • Permit Replacement: $10.00
  • Parent permission signature is REQUIRED if under 18 years old.

If you have not purchased a parking permit and are parked on campus, your vehicle will be booted. There is a $25 removal fee. If your parking permit is not properly displayed, your vehicle will be booted. The removal fee for not properly displaying your parking permit is $10.

Student IDs Update

For the 2021-2022 school year, we will took pictures during Lobo Camp and Lobo Reboot. If students did not take a picture, LHS will be using the previous school years student ID pictures and those will be printed and ready to be distributed during their classes within the first two weeks of school. If a student is new to the district, then we will take care of their ID’s during the first week of in person instruction. We are waiting for current pictures to be printed from our Lifetouch pictures we took a few weeks ago.


Replacements after the 1st ID will be $5.00. We will check IDs first thing in the morning as this will be required to come into the building. If students do not have $5.00, the obligation will be documented as students need to have an ID on hand. School IDs must be worn with a lanyard displayed around the neck.

Advance Placement Course Update

Counseling Notes:


  • The AP / Advance course drop down form is available to students from September 20 to October 1

    • Teachers will make notes on the response sheet and facilitate the required parent / teacher conference

    • Counselors will process all approved changes on or after October 6.

    • Grades will transfer to the receiving teacher

    • UIL rules are still in effect for the dropped course
