CNHS Counseling Center
Newsletter
Counseling Center News
The Columbus North Counseling Center has primarily used its website (https://www.bcscschools.org/northcounselingcenter) as its main source of sharing information. However, during the pandemic we started a very informal "newsletter" that was posted on the Counseling Center itslearning page (available to students). We currently have a SCHOLARSHIP & COLLEGE INFORMATION newsletter called SHOW ME THE MONEY which is geared more toward Juniors & Seniors. In an effort to provide as much information for ALL of our students & parents we have decided to add a 2nd Counselling Center Newsletter. Please note this newsletter will NOT be sent at regular intervals, it will always be linked on our website & our itslearning page. We encourage you to check our website regularly but if you would like for us to send you a link as it is updated please sign-up below.

Are you considering joining the military after high school? Are you interested in aviation and flying? Do you want to find a way to serve your community? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, then the Civil Air Patrol may be for you. The Civil Air Patrol is the auxiliary of the Air Force. Adults and youth members, called Cadets, receive aerospace education, train to help our communities during disasters or for search and rescue operations, and support the missions of the US Air Force. Cadets also learn and compete in drill and ceremonies, are able to take orientation flights in Cessna aircraft, hot air balloons, and gliders, and have the chance to gain skills to be prepared to help in emergencies. Columbus has a squadron that meets regularly at the Columbus Municipal Airport. Cadets ages 12-19 can join and participate actively. We invite you to come check out a meeting and learn more. With your parent, contact Lt Brian Herbert, Squadron Commander at 317-902-2407 or brian.herbert@inwg.cap.gov. Learn more about CAP at www.gocivilairpatrol.com. Brochures are also available in the brochure rack at the airport terminal.
