Pitch Night Partners Needed
LFHS Foundation is thrilled to partner with LFHS in support of the Business Incubator. We provide volunteer coaches, mentors, and judges, support all teams during the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) phase with allocations from our $5,000 standing annual grant, and host Pitch Night. We need support from our community to build the 2023 Pitch Night prize fund. Please consider joining us as a Pitch Night Partner. Project Safe Prom
The Junior Class and the APT have been excitedly planning the "Dancing in the Moonlight" traditional Prom at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare for Saturday, May 6th since the beginning of the school year. Now it is around the corner!
Project Safe Prom officially launched last week and we need your support. Did you know the LFHS Prom is completely self-sustaining and we rely solely on ticket sales, junior class fundraising and your generosity? Your donations will help fund a truly magical experience for our LFHS students. Each ticket will remain $95 per person, which includes plated dinner, entertainment, transportation, and security. However, the actual cost to host prom far exceeds the ticket price. We are looking to our generous community to help raise $35,000 to underwrite various costs associated with this event, such as the transportation and security.
Any contribution you are able to make is tax deductible and greatly appreciated! Click the link or scan the QR code below to get started. THANK YOU!

Catch “Big Fish” at LFHS
Ready for an adventure? Lake Forest High School students take audiences on an amazing journey in the fantastical musical “Big Fish,” directed by LFHS teachers John Wanninger and Kelly MacBlane, and based on the Daniel Wallace novel and the Tim Burton film. “Big Fish” follows the story of Edward Bloom, a charming traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest with his tall tales about everything from befriending a giant to saving a small town. With heart and humor, “Big Fish” will enthrall audiences. Performances are 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27; Friday, April 28; and Saturday, April 29 in the Raymond Moore Auditorium. Tickets: $10-$20 at https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?show=143248
Summer Job & Activity Fair
LFHS hosted a Summer Job & Activity Fair that included over 25 local businesses and organizations. Hundreds of students attended in hopes of making a connection to find a job, internship, or volunteer opportunity. We are so grateful for the partnerships forged among our local businesses and look forward to years of successful employment and service for our students.

Summer Chicago Experience
This summer, Mr. Andrew Waple is leading a four-day exploration of Chicago for students into the city to learn about its amazing history, architecture, and culture. An experienced tour guide and former Chicago History teacher, he hopes to give students a more well-rounded view of what makes Chicago such a great city. For more information, see the summer school schedule here.
Beach Items for Sale From the Business Class
Looking to purchase beach items? Consider checking out the selection offered by Mr. Sheridan's business class. As part of their business entrepreneurship class, the students are selling beach towels and beach balls.
These items are not only great for enjoying a day at the beach, but purchasing them also supports a student-run business. You can contact Mr. Sheridan or the business class directly to learn more about the available products and how to place an order.

Deerpath Community Park Improvement Project
The City of Lake Forest is beginning construction on the Deerpath Community Park Improvement Project - located at the Lake Forest Recreation Center, behind Deer Path Middle School. The project involves installing synthetic turf athletic fields and additional amenities for the community park. The majority of construction activities will be confined to the project site, which includes Deerpath Community Park fields and tennis courts behind DPM. The City has been extremely collaborative and intentionally timed the launch of this work to be the least disruptive by scheduling start during the week DPM is closed over Spring Break. The contractor will also work to limit activity during pickup and dropoff times at the school. For reasons of safety, drivers are asked to follow all directional signage. Please note that the fields behind DPM will not be used by our students during construction. Outdoor activities will be diverted to other DPM outdoor spaces. We appreciate your patience. More information about the Deerpath Community Park Improvement Project may be found at http://www.cityoflakeforest.com/DeerpathPark
