The Eagle Soars

Online Enrollment - July 2018 - Sunflower Elementary

It's Time for Online Enrollment!

Hello Sunflower Eagles! I thought I'd give you a nice, cold, snowy, wintery background to bring you cool thoughts on this HOT summer day!

I'd like to say "WELCOME" to all of our new Kindergarten parents who are receiving a Sunflower newsletter for the first time! In preparation for online enrollment, your students have been bumped up to their grade for the 2018-19 school year, and so all of our new kindergarten parents will start receiving all of our correspondence!

If you are hoping this also means you can find out your child's teacher, I am afraid that info is still not available! You will find out your child's placement in August.

Speaking of online enrollment, Monday marks the first day that you can complete the online enrollment process via our Skyward website. More information can be found below!

The 2018-2019 online enrollment process begins Monday, July 2.

The document available for download below contains many helpful tips on how to complete the online enrollment process.

Parents may also enroll in person at the Board of Education office beginning July 2, Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you still are having problems accessing your account, the Sunflower office will be open again starting July 16th (Mondays-Thursdays).

If you happened to see the big trucks sitting in the parking lot earlier this month, you may have wondered what was happening in the school. And sometimes you may wonder exactly what does our awesome custodial staff do over the summer? Well, here is a sneak peek into what is going on at Sunflower!

All incoming kindergarten students and parents are invited to come and play and meet the kindergarten team and fellow kindergarten families!

Kindergarten play dates are scheduled for Monday, July 23, 5:30-6:30 pm and Thursday, July 26, 10-11 am. These play dates will be held on the kindergarten playground in front of Sunflower Elementary.

Please plan to attend at least one of these play dates! It will be so much fun to meet your new friends!
