Weekly Update
Hello Fort High Families,
Our registration team just finished up all course selection presentations this past week for all grade 10 and 11 students. Each student left the presentation with a course selection sheet for next year. I encourage all parents to look at the registration handbook and the course selection sheet with your student (both documents can be found on the front page of our website at www.forthigh.ca). We would like all registration sheets brought back next week with a parent signature so the students can input their choices into PowerSchool during the week of March 13th - 17th.
On Tuesday, March 21st, we will be having our final consultation meeting regarding school fees. I encourage all parents to join us at 6pm in the school library to provide input.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Have a great weekend.

At NAIT, we honour and acknowledge that the land on which we learn, work and live is Treaty Six territory. We seek to learn from history and the lessons that have come before us, and to draw on the wisdom of the First Peoples in Canada. Only through learning can we move forward in truth and reconciliation, and to a better future together.
LEADERSHIP
Upcoming Events
Our Leadership class is a-BUZZ this week preparing for a big spring season!
St. Patrick’s day will see free cookies, face painting and green drinks served in the foyer, while we kick off our last week in March with a Dodgeball tournament.
A basketball 3 point skills competition will also be held with the winners getting a gift card to Winner’s Way Sports.
Some school beautification projects are also in full swing as new bird feeders and bird houses are popping up in the trees on the property.
And as always, our elementary school volunteering visits are becoming more and more enjoyable as the elementary students are making connections with our high school students.
Stay tuned for some amazing events coming up in April.
Toonies for Tummies
A community of grocery, food, beverage and consumer product companies united to feed the one child in three who comes to school hungry and work together to support student nutrition programs like Fort High’s Breakfast Program. “Toonies for Tummies” was held Tuesday at the Safeway in Fort Saskatchewan where shoppers could donate to help the breakfast programs purchase more breakfast items for hungry students. All donations were matched by Safeway. The Fort High Leadership students volunteered to bag groceries and had a great time with the customers.

COUNSELLOR CORNER
We are well on our way in second semester. It is a good time to evaluate academic progress and set goals for the remainder of the school year. Once again, our Success Coaches will be reviewing and meeting with Grade 12 students to ensure graduation requirements have been met and to support grads with post-secondary and financial planning. Grade 12 students are reminded to log-in to their MyPass account to access diploma exam results.
Have an awesome second semester.
