Hats and Phones
We also need your help enforcing the cell phone policy. Students should not be on their phones UNLESS you have given them permission to use them for instructional purposes. In some classes, students sheepishly put their phones away when administration enters the classroom because they know they are violating the policy. However, the classroom teacher is not enforcing it.
Once again, CONSISTENCY is your best friend.
Doors Being Covered
We would love to be able to see the great things you're doing in your classroom as we walk down the halls and be able to take pics and share them on social media. If you have your classroom door window completely covered, we can't do this. Please remove any paper or curtains covering your entire hallway door window until we have a lockdown or lockdown drill. Let us know if you have any questions.
Advisory Lesson
Thank you for continuing to contact parents regarding your advisory students' absences. Be sure to email Mrs. Kim Crosby to share your contacts.

January/February Challenge
Fighting on Campus
- One of our top priorities is to ensure a safe learning environment. We are not going to tolerate fighting anymore. The fighting on campus needs to come to a stop immediately, and the consequences for fighting are changing.
- Nobody should have to worry about walking down the halls or sitting in the lunchroom and feeling unsafe.
- Moving forward, any premeditated fights or assaults will be an automatic SDHA referral.
- Students who fight on campus will be banned from all extra curricular activities for the remainder of the year – this includes PROM.
- We’ll also be revoking parking passes.
- We’re going to do everything in our power to have a safe environment. That includes pressing charges whenever possible.
- If you are caught filming a fight or encouraging a fight, you will be suspended and banned from extra curricular activities for the remainder of the year because this shows we cannot trust you to be an upstanding citizen.
- Anyone who films a fight will also have their phone confiscated and will be written up for a cell phone violation.
- Anyone who films a fight and distributes it to other students or through social media platforms will have extended suspensions.
- If you hear/know of a fight that’s supposed to take place, let someone know - a teacher, Officer Turner, or you can text our google voice number 615-398-0183 to help try to prevent fights. If you fail to report a fight that you have knowledge of, you could be subject to disciplinary action.
- The fights that are occurring are only between a small percentage of our school. – We have a lot of great students who are talented and doing a lot of great things - academically as well as athletically. That’s what we want our social media and our image in the community to reflect.
- As harsh as some of these consequences seem, this is not a case of students vs teachers/administration; we are all in this together, and we have to work together to make the school a safe place for everyone.
