We Learn in order to Serve
Conferences Today and Tomorrow
We are at the mid-way point of the first trimester. We look forward to welcoming our parents of students in kindergarten through grade 8 on campus today and tomorrow for Parent Teacher Conferences. School will dismiss at 2pm both days to allow time for conferences. Aftercare will be available until 6pm.
Kindergarten through Grade 5: Conferences are scheduled with homeroom teachers for ten minutes.
Middle School: Parents are encouraged to pick up their child’s progress reports from the middle school hallway. Teachers will be available for parents to drop in and have a conference with teachers of their choosing. Times are: Thursday, October 10th from 2:30pm-6:00pm and Friday, October 12th from 2:30pm-3:30pm.
Please plan to join us on Tuesday, October15 at 6:00pm in the Parish Center for a screening of the award winning documentary, Screenagers. We would especially like to invite all students in grades five through eight along with their parents. The film is approximately 67 minutes long and deals with social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction. You can view the trailer by clicking on the following link: https://www.screenagersmovie.com/trailer. For more information go to https://www.screenagersmovie.com/.

Students gathered on the parking lot for our Living Rosary. The beads were made of orange to represent Leukemia Awareness, and our special guests were Jesi Bruchey and her family. It was a beautiful experience.
Eighth Grade Parent Meeting
There will be a meeting for all eighth grade parents on Tuesday, October 22 at 6pm in the parish center. It is important that at least one parent of each eighth grader attends this meeting.
Let Your Light Shine
First grade rocked at their Let Your Light Shine presentation. They dressed like characters in Grease and sang the song First Grade to the tune of Summer Nights! Way to go first grade!
Service Project – Socktober
Socks are one of the most needed items for homeless shelters. On October 18, any student who brings in a NEW pair of adult socks may dress down and wear crazy socks.
Middle School Retreats
Middle school students will be attending a two-hour retreat on Monday or Tuesday hosted by a visiting priest from Father Jimson and Father Rony’s order, the Society of Divine Vocationists.
The Church Children’s Choir needs members. Practices are each Thursday evening from 5:00-6:00pm in the Parish Center Music Room. For more information, contact Jitka Cinibulk at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Please join us for our PTO meeting on Tuesday, October 15th. There will be a showing of “Screenagers” for all parents with children in grades 5-8th. Hope to see you there!
We look forward to seeing you next Thursday the 17th at Tijuana Flats on Cypress Gardens Blvd for our Spirit Night.
Thanks for all you do!
O Blessed Joseph, faithful guardian of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, protector of Mary, the virgin Mother of God, I choose you this day to be my special patron and advocate and I firmly resolve to honor you all the days of my life. Therefore I humbly ask you to receive me as your client, to instruct me in every doubt, to comfort me in every affliction, to obtain for me and for all the knowledge and love of the Heart of Jesus, and finally to defend and protect me at the hour of my death.
