Principal Message

Well hello, everyone! It sure has been a while since I have sent out a newsletter. I was sick with mono the week before spring break and now we are in an extended school shut down. I want to provide some information on our next steps for week 2 of our At Home School Learning.

Keep an eye on the district website in the COVID 19 blue box. It will provide you the most up to date information faster than I will be able to keep up.

Someone described this time as building a plane as we are flying in it. Please be patient with us as we figure out how to best support you and your child during this time with learning. We know you have a lot of your plate to keep up with as well. If you need ANY support, please reach out to your child's teacher via Dojo. The website below has resources through the counseling department.

Teacher Contact

By this time, you should have received a call from your child's teacher. We want to keep connected to you and your child. If you received a blocked call it is because teachers are using their personal phones to call. You might have received a message via dojo that your child's teacher wants to contact you and schedule a time to talk with your child.

If you have not heard from your child's teacher, please email them or reach out to them via Dojo.

Special Messages

Through this link, you can find special messages our entire staff left for you and your child to view via a program called Flipgrid. They are super fun.

At Home Learning-Next Week's lessons

On the Hays website in the COVID 19 section, lessons for next week can be found. They are grouped by PK, K-2 and 3-5. This menu of ideas was created by the Curriculum and Instruction Department. Please complete these activities for the week of March 30-April 3.

Teachers will start providing lessons starting the week of April 6th.

STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS: Attached to this newsletter is a PDF of how to access the "At Home Learning" website. We hope these directions are helpful.
