This edition of our MGSD Newsletter is packed full of fun holiday messages and events from throughout our district! We hope you enjoy seeing what our students have been busy doing, and we hope you enjoy a wonderful holiday break! We can't wait to see you all next year on January 2. Learning all about those reindeer!

The holidays were on point at PVES! From Christmas lists to reindeer, students were in the spirit!

RRES performs celebrations from around the world!

At Rocky River Elementary School this is such a BUSY season! But amidst all of the business, we made time for a wonderful first grade performance of celebrations around the world. In this video, we are featuring Mrs. Littell's class, who represented England. This class featured a student, Zoe, AND Mrs. Littell singing!!! We hope you enjoy and have a wonderful holiday break!

South Stars shared holiday cheer across the nation and world!

First grade students at South Elementary worked with the School Library Media Coordinator, Mrs. McCrorey, on a holiday card exchange with schools around the United States. This is an annual project that encompasses social studies concepts such as map skills and writing friendly letters. Mrs. Ocker's first grade class also participated in a bookmark exchange with students in Croatia. Check out the video to hear all about this special project!

EMIS enjoyed fun and festivities to celebrate all of the hard work the students did throughout the Fall!

MIS puts the Family in Winter Family Festival!

On Friday, November 30, Mooresville Intermediate School hosted a Winter Family Festival complete with hayrides, face painting, hot chocolate, S'mores, vendors, photos with Santa, a performance by our Bobcat Chorus, and a showing of Charlie Brown Christmas. What a fun night to begin the celebrations for the upcoming holiday season!

MMS hosts local author, Jack Grossman

MMS students held a book talk with author, Jack Grossman, about his book Child of the Forest, a true story about holocaust survivor, Charlene Perlmutter Schiff. It was an enlightening time for the students!

Caroling the MHS way!

When you have an amazing band like MHS, you take them on the road "caroling." take them through your school to bring some holiday cheer to everyone! :-)

Changes to the 2018 - 2019 School Year Calendar

Don't forget that students will return to class on January 2 instead of January 3 to assist in making up missed instructional hours due to inclement weather we have experienced so far this year. If you already had holiday travel plans for January 2, please let your school know. Thank you!
