Francone Elementary
February 2022
A Note from the Principal
As we progress through the third nine weeks of the school year, we have much to celebrate! Our campus-wide Kindness Challenge is well underway. Our Falcons have been challenged to "blackout" a bingo grid filled with acts meant to spread kindness and bring joy to others. It's quite an undertaking to get each one done, and we have several classes that have made great progress! The Kindness Challenge ends on Valentine's Day, and we can't wait to see how many classes accomplish their goal!
On February 2nd, our campus held our Name That Book Competition. Teams from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades have been reading and note-taking all year long in order to participate. While all teams demonstrated dedication, teamwork, and commitment, I want to offer a special congratulations to the fourth grade team, who won our campus contest and will be representing Francone at the district competition in March.
I would also like to take a moment to recognize fifth-grader Ashton Y., who competed on behalf of Francone at the District Spelling Bee. Ashton represented our campus with great humility and fortitude, and we are very proud of him!
Take a look at the rest of our newsletter to read about our other upcoming events. Be sure to stay informed about the great things happening on our campus by following us on Twitter (@FranconeElem) or "liking" us on Facebook. We appreciate your partnership!
