Miller Career and Technology students and parents,
The 2022 - 2023 school year is off to a great start! Our staff has enjoyed welcoming our returning students and getting to know our new students. We hope you have settled into a routine at MCTC and are excited about the real-world experiences we have to offer. Please read below for a few updates and reminders.

Reminder: SkillsUSA Interest Meeting TODAY
SkillsUSA is Miller's main career and technical student organization. If you are interested in developing career skills, building your resume, participating in district competition (and then possibly state and nationals), completing community service, and interfacing with like-minded peers, SkillsUSA is for you! As a reminder, our first regularly scheduled meeting is this afternoon - Wednesday, August 31st at 3:15 PM in the Commons.
We are excited about what this fantastic group of students and advisors will do this year!

NEW - Dress Code
Additionally, some of our programs require specific industry dress on a daily basis during lab time. If you have any questions about dress code, please ask an administrator. Students who violate the dress code may be subject to disciplinary action.

Mandatory Wearing of IDs
Safety is our first priority at Miller Career and Katy ISD. Secondary students must wear their ID badges at all times during school hours, while on school property. If a student loses his/her ID, a replacement ID must be purchased promptly from the Upstairs AP Office. Failure to follow these procedures may be considered a violation of the Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct. Transportation Information - How to Get to and from Miller
- Students may take District-provided bus transportation.
- Students may drive themselves to and from Miller.
- Students may be dropped off and picked up.

Student Driver Reminders
- Pay the $10.00 fee in PayN'Go.
- Complete the MCTC Parking Permit request
- Pick up your parking permit from the Upstair's AP Office at Miller.

Katy ISD's College and Career Webinar Series
Katy ISD will be offering College and Career webinars throughout the school year. All presentations will be delivered via Zoom from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Additionally, sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the College and Career Webpage. Check out the September sessions below, and click on the links to register.
