Congratulations to our 5th grade team
Our fifth-grade teams had a spectacular day today at MOSI. The Shark Tank Challenge team, which was challenged to propose a new invention to make the world a better place, developed a prototype and built a presentation around a product they named the Sea Saver. The purpose of the product was to save sea turtles and other sea creatures from choking on or ingesting garbage that is carelessly and thoughtlessly deposited into the sea, which is home to all of these creatures who are helpless to stop this injustice. They had marketing plans, statistics, and projections of the future effects of this problem to share with the judges. The team worked well together, was incredibly articulate, knew their rubric well, and made a poster to share visually the magnitude of this problem. Armed with statistics for both the current as well as the future projected damages, the team was a united force to be reckoned with and truly earned their gold medal. Team members included: Valeria Duarte, Phoenix Jordan, Taylor Bader, and Joy Konadu.
Our fifth-grade robotics team, which had two returning students from last year's team, an additional fifth grade student with sharp science processing skills, and a fourth grade student to prepare for next year's team, not only earned a gold medal, but they worked together so well and worked through some very difficult problems so successfully that they also were awarded one of only two engineering awards. They had an hour to code and finished by earning the maximum score with twenty minutes to spare. Team members included: Gianna Zumpano, Jaxson Comito, Kaylee Shartz, and fourth grader Blake McLain.
We are so very proud of these AMAZING kids!!!

Uniforms for 23-24 School year
There is a two week turn around because we are working with a small company. Those who order two weeks prior to July 11th can pick up your items at that time. The company will deliver, but that is a fifteen dollar charge, otherwise as you order you can pick the shirts up at Claywell during the summer, or as school starts we will send them home with your child.
