Mrs. Law's Class Collaborates!
Kindergarten students across the district are learning about life cycles. Mrs. Law's class studied the life cycle of a butterfly and then used the Book Creator app to create a collaborative, digital class book to share.
Mrs. Morgan's Class Connects!
Connecting with the real world is an integral part of a blended curriculum. Through lessons that encourage students to explore the real world, as well as the digital world, higher levels of learning takes place.
Mrs. Long's Class Creates!
Technology offers opportunities for students to individualize their educational experiences. By using tools to create collaborative projects and share one another's work, students are able to extend learning.
Family Fanatics!
Students created family trees using a variety of resources and options in third grade. They were given an outline of the criteria that had to be met, and were able to illustrate the information in a multitude of ways. Meredith, a third grade student at Scottsburg Elementary, created her own webpage through Weebly to illustrate her family.
Leading the Way!
Students are able to choose the best "fit" for them when it comes to presenting information at SCSD2. These students chose to create iMovies to illustrate information during a recent project.
Tiny Techies!
Students across the district are exercising their proficiency in technology through options within the classroom. Students use MyOn, Kidblog, Kahoot, and MobyMax, only to mention a few. Even the youngest students are exhibiting their expertise using digital devices.
