Steve Craig, President, Commerce Chenango
Steve had a 35-year career in broadcast journalism which took him to Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida before returning to New York State where he was lead news anchor on two Binghamton stations. In 2011, Steve joined Commerce Chenango as its President and CEO. He leads the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce and serves as Executive Director of both the Development Chenango Corporation and the County of Chenango Industrial Development Agency. He is also Chenango County's designee to the Regional Economic Development Council of the Southern Tier. During his tenure at Commerce Chenango, Steve has led the effort to revitalize downtown commercial spaces, increase production capacity for local agribusinesses, and in 2016 will oversee the $6M restoration of 45 miles of railroad damaged by floods in 2006.
