Global Read Aloud 2018 - Final Thoughts
A Boy Called Bat - Quizlet & Digital Breakout
Quizlet Live might be our new favorite activity. It takes reviewing and bumps it up to a brand new level. It randomly creates teams then within those teams, only one person has the correct answer. So they HAVE to work together. We used Quizlet Live for a review of A Boy Called Bat and had a blast!
Students also tried the Digital Breakout below inspired by the Global Read Aloud Book.

Turkey Trot Fun
Breakout EDU games teach critical thinking, teamwork, complex problem-solving.
Augmented Reality with Quiver Masks
Coding, Coding, Coding!
Students in K-2 are using codeSpark Academy to learn programming skills. There's a lot to learn when it comes to coding. We begin by covering the basics such as algorithm, sequence, bug, and debugging. Then, students use their iPads to work their way through self-guided puzzles that teach the basics of coding. We can't get enough!
Google Santa Tracker

Use Google Santa Tracker to follow Santa Claus on Google Maps as he makes his journey around the world.
A student favorite every December!
ABOUT US
Our goals are to:
- Get students excited about the library space and learning.
- Give students opportunities to work on engaging tasks.
- Provide spaces to work collaboratively, think critically and creatively.
Also, to transition to a place where students DO stuff, not simply a place where students GET stuff.
