From the Principal
Happy MARCH to all our families!
March is Reading Month, a very exciting month in education! We celebrate books, reading, becoming a reader and setting reading goals! I know along with our amazing staff, you will help every child be a successful reader, We have added staff to work with our first grade students this semester to close the COVID gaps we are seeing as well. Our three full time Title staff also are beginning to see improvements with their new groups working hard on foundational skills in reading. Remember that even 10-15 minutes of reading each night helps students learn vocabulary, find patterns in the text, hear the rhythm of a fluent reader and instills the love of reading to learn! Don't forget to fill out their reading logs to earn Prizes every Friday! I know they all want to see Mrs Jackson and maybe even their very own teacher in the dunk tank!
Our very competitive transportation department joined our team to raise funds for Parker, the therapy dog. Pennies for Parker raised $977.00. We are waiting to hear the final results to see if we won extra Parker time! The money will also cover vet bills, food, the collar and maybe some new toys! THANK YOU!
Thank you for always sending us your very best and for your continued partnership in building our future!
Please see below for several important dates.
Mrs. Tiffany Jackson, Principal

FIELD TRIPS
We are trying to include some field trips this year, but we need to remind you that it is very important that volunteers are careful NOT to take pictures of other children and post them on Social Media. We, as a school, know which students have authorization to post pictures of and if you are accompanying us on a trip you may only take photos of your own child. Thank you for helping to keep all our students safe, at all times, including fun field trips.
